championship game is TBD. Likely to be moved from Saturday to Friday. No time set yet. All games are at UVA Wise.

That was softball probably.


In softball action tonight, Appalachia defeated Clintwood 3-2 and Kelly beat Pound 10-5.

Wednesday's semifinals have PV-Appy at 5:00 and Kelly-Burton at 7:30.

From what I've been told, expect the championship game to be played Saturday due to graduations and such.

couldn't the championship game be played at 1 o'clock and still be over in time for kids to get to graduation? i don't recall the championship game ever being on saturday. seems like one year recently there was no championship game because of rain.

Last year's championship game was at 12:00 between Burton and Kelly.

This year, PV has SOLs on Friday and Burton has a senior picnic or something on Friday. Kelly, PV, Pound have graduation Friday night.

You're right, nobody wants to have to use their pitchers on Saturday to win a championship game and then have to come back Tuesday in the Regions.

If JJ Kelly makes the championship game it's pretty much meaningless. Where is the regional tournament and does anybody have a bracket for it?
